⚠️ CAUTION: the final part of this route is very technical. Do not attempt it if you’re unexperienced hiker.

Your starting point is Prionia parking.

Here are some recommendations from Kristina:

  1. I wouldn’t recommend attempting the hike in a single day, as I saw some people trying to do. It’s very exhausting, and you should pace yourself wisely. To complete it in one day, you’ll need to maintain a constant rush with very few breaks, which isn’t ideal. For the final, most dangerous section of the hike, it’s crucial to be fully alert and focused. We stayed at Spilos Agapitos which is very busy and you should book it well in advance or you can camp there.
  2. There are two fountains along the way, but they often dry up in the summer, so be sure to bring enough water. Even at the hut, the springs can dry out, leaving you with no choice but to buy more water.
  3. It’s recommended to bring a helmet and rope for the final section, though they aren’t strictly necessary. The key is to be very careful, take it slow, and plan each step ahead.
