Terms of Participation in the SiteGround Hikes Challenge 2024
These Terms of Participation (the “Terms”) govern the terms and conditions for the SiteGround Hikes Challenge 2024 (the “Event”), organized by SiteGround Hosting EOOD, a company registered and existing under the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria, UIC: 204181297, with registered address at 6 Olimpiyska St., 7th floor, Vitosha District, Sofia (“SiteGround”).
1.1. The Event takes place from April 22, 2024 until December 1, 2024 (the “Event Period”).
1.2. The purpose of the Event is to encourage the Participants to explore nature and spend more time outdoors by walking and hiking on trails, footpaths and mountain peaks, as further determined in these Terms.
1.3. The Event is organized and conducted in English language.
2.1. Eligible for participation are all employees, contractors and managers who are in employment, civil or management relationship with SiteGround, SiteGround Spain S.L. or any of the related companies of SiteGround (the “Participant/s”), and who have received the official email invite for the SiteGround Hikes Challenge.
2.2. Participation in the Event is voluntary, but only possible in accordance with these Terms. By participating in the Event, the Participant explicitly agrees to comply with these Terms. The Terms will be available for the entire Event Period at: http://hikes.sitegroundlife.com/.
III. Routes
3.1. The routes determined for hiking are the following 10 Bulgarian mountain destinations:
3.2. Participants from SiteGround Spain S.L. only are entitled to choose at their own discretion 10 mountain destinations outside Bulgaria suitable for hiking.
4.1. The Participants participate in the Event on an individual basis.
4.2. It is not mandatory for the Participants to complete all 10 routes. Participation in the Event will be considered successful if, within the Event Period, the Participant reaches at least one of the mountain destinations and tracks the result in a specially designated registration form.
4.3. After completion of each route, the Participant has to fill in the registration form by entering his/her names and specifying the destination he/she successfully completed. The Participant has to attach a photo of himself/herself at the end of the route where the Participant poses alone and wears any SiteGround branded item (t-shirt, backpack, bandana, etc.). Such photo serves as a proof that the Participant has completed the respective destination.
5.1. SiteGround will provide the following prizes:
5.2. The above prizes will be awarded and distributed as follows:
5.2.1. All Participants who have completed all 10 routes will participate in a draw for the following prize: Garmin inReach Mini 2A Satellite Communicator.
5.2.1.1. The draw will be performed during the annual SiteGround’s End of Year Event, which will take place in the middle of December 2024, but no later than December 20, 2024, by using an independent third-party online drawing tool: https://www.random.org/ or in another appropriate independent manner determined by SiteGround.
5.2.2. The first 5 Participants who have completed all 10 routes will be awarded with a hiking backpack no later than December 10, 2024.
5.2.3. The other Participants (with the exception of the Participants awarded under item 5.2.2. above) who have completed all 10 routes will be awarded with an insulated water bottle no later than December 10, 2024.
5.2.4. All Participants who have completed 3 or more routes will be awarded with hiking socks no later than December 10, 2024.
5.3. SiteGround will contact the winning Participants via email or via direct message in the internal communication platform Slack. SiteGround may also announce the winning Participants in the #hikes channel on Slack. All Participants are welcome to join SiteGround #hikes channel on Slack for the latest updates on the Event or to get in touch if they have any questions.
5.4. There is no substitution of a winning prize with its cash equivalent or another prize. The right to receive a winning prize cannot be transferred to third parties.
6.1. SiteGround has the right to terminate the Event and/or to amend these Terms at any time, and such termination and/or amendments will be considered duly communicated with the Participants by posting them on http://hikes.sitegroundlife.com/ or in any other appropriate manner. In these cases, SiteGround does not owe any compensation to the Participants.
6.2. All Participants have their own responsibility for all costs incurred or likely to arise due to their participation in the Event.
6.3. Participants who do not comply with these Terms will be disqualified without further notice, losing the right to win a prize if they were entitled to such prize.
VII. Personal data
7.1. The personal data collected and processed with respect to the Event and the participation of the Participants will be processed according to these Terms and the Event Privacy Notice.
VIII. Complaints
8.1. Any requests, complaints and/or objections of Participants or third parties involved in this Event should be submitted to SiteGround Hosting EOOD at the following email: events@siteground.com.
9.1. The Event is governed by the laws of Bulgaria and any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Event as well as these Terms shall be settled by the competent court in Sofia, Bulgaria.
